The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM C or IIM Calcutta )released the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 notification. The notification has been released in newspapers and on IIM Calcutta’s official and Social Media account.

The most popular and most awaited Management Entrance Test of the country – the CAT 2024 will be a computer-based test to be held on November 24th this year, in three sessions.
CAT Exam- All you ever wanted to know
CAT will be conducted in test centres spread across around 170 test cities. Candidates will be given the option to select any five test cities in order of their preference. The list of cities may be subject to changes based on the discretion of the CAT authorities.

The registration process for CAT 2024 will begin at 10 am on August 1st and conclude at 3 pm IST on September 13th.
The admit card will be available from November 5th, and the exam is scheduled for November 24, to be held across 170 test cities.
Eligible candidates can register HERE on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. This year, IIM Calcutta will administer the exam.
Examination Fees Increased: The examination fee has been revised to Rs 2,500 for general category candidates (up from Rs 2,400) and Rs 1,250 for reserved category candidates (up from Rs 1,200).
Exam Centres increased: The number of cities where the CAT exam will be conducted has been increased by 3 from 167 to 170.
CAT Exam Eligibility: The detailed notification of CAT 2024 will mention the eligibility criteria for the test. As per last year’s information, candidates need a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA (45 per cent for SC, ST and PwD) to apply for the test.

The IIM admission process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI), after the CAT 2023 results are declared.
A total of 200+ non-IIM institutions will also use CAT 2024 scores this year for admission into their management programmes.
