As part of Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme from 2nd October, 2021 to 14th November, 2021 and as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, South District Legal Services Authority (DLSA South) under the aegis of DSLSA & NALSA organized a legal awareness programme on “Role of Legal Service Institutions in Holistic settlement of commercial Disputes followed by launch of Legal Awareness Drive” on 09.11.2021.
Sh. Kanwal Jeet Arora, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA was the chief guest. Ms. Namrata Aggarwal, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA was the guest of honour. Dr. Jitendra Das, Director, FORE School of Management, New Delhi, Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Chairman, FORE School of Management, New Delhi and Ms. Nabeela Wali, Secretary, DLSA (South) were the other dignitaries present. An awareness programme about services provided by DSLSA, Helpline Number 1516 and Delhi Victim Compensation Scheme 2015 was also organised along with Cultural Programme by students of FORE School of Management.
Dr. Jitendra Das, Director, FORE School of Management, New Delhi delivered welcome address. Through a video presentation, Ms. Nabeela Wali, Secretary, DLSA (South) apprised the participants about work of DSLSA and DLSA South. Sh. Kanwal Jeet Arora, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA delivered the key note address. He apprised them about various NALSA schemes for construction workers, women & children’s and senior citizens. He also interacted with participants and answered questions posed by them about Criminal Justice System in India & the manner in which students can come forward to work with DSLSA. Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Chairman, FORE School of Management, New Delhi also delivered special address. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Shallini Taneja, Head- CSD, FORE School of Management. At the end of the session. Sh. Kanwal Jeet Arora, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA flagged off the legal awareness drive for Road side Hawkers. Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA (South) & students of FORE School of Management, New Delhi participated in the awareness drive.
