The inauguration brought together the incoming students, faculty members and distinguished guests to mark the commencement of the second batch’s academic journey at IIMAm. The proceedings commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge and new beginnings.

The event was graced by Prof N Ravichandran, Professor (Retired), IIM Ahmedabad and Former Director, IIM Indore, as the Chief Guest. Mr Jogendra Singh, President and Group CFO, Hero Corporate Service Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, attended the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Prof Samir K Srivastava, Director, IIMAm, subsequently felicitated the distinguished guests.

The proceedings continued with the welcome address by Dr Chetan Chitre, Chairperson, IPM, IIMAm. Addressing the incoming batch, he reflected on the transformative nature of the programme and the role of the faculty in guiding and supporting students throughout their years at IIMAm. He highlighted the rigour of the course and emphasized the importance of creativity, noting how creativity is a skill developed through sustained practice rather than something that emerges spontaneously.

This was followed by an address by Dr Sujit R Jagadale, Dean, Academics & Programmes, IIMAm, who shared his thoughts on the values that contribute to personal and professional growth. Highlighting qualities such as compassion, discipline and determination, he underscored the importance of perseverance and discipline in shaping long-term success.
Prof Srivastava then addressed the gathering, extending his greetings to the new cohort and reflecting on the path that awaited the students through the IPM programme. Highlighting the wealth of experience represented by the distinguished guests, he noted that their words and perspectives, though perhaps not immediately relatable to the students, would gain greater meaning and relevance as they progressed through their own journeys and gained experience.
The Guest of Honour, Mr Jogendra Singh, subsequently addressed the incoming batch, encouraging the students to approach the years ahead with dedication and make the most of the opportunities offered by the programme. The Chief Guest, Prof N Ravichandran, concluded the series of addresses with his insights, urging the students to strive for excellence as they began their journey at IIMAm.

The inauguration of the second batch of IPM marks another step in the continued growth of the programme at IIMAm.
