Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B) appoints Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan as the new Director, amidst the nationwide lockdown and global Covid 19 pandemic.
Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, was the director of Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I), previously and the founding director of IIM Sambalpur.
Professor Krishnan who was earlier also associated with IIM Bangalore as faculty corporate strategy and policy will take charge on 31 July, upon the superannuation of G Raghuram, Director, IIMB.
Rishikesha Krishnan is an author, columnist and professor of management who focuses on strategy, innovation, and education. He studied at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K), Stanford University, USA and IIM Ahmedabad. He has also co-authored books on innovation. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Advanced Study of India, University of Pennsylvania (Fall 2008), and at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad (2011-12).
His book “From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India,” talks about the challenges faced by India in enhancing industrial innovation (http://jugaadtoinnovation.blogspot.com). He is a trustee of the Foundation for Excellence India Trust (www.ffe.org), an organization committed to helping economically underprivileged and academically talented students complete their higher education through one of India’s largest scholarship programme.
