Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B) released final placement report for PGP Batch 2017-19. IIM Bangalore placements for the PGP class of 2017-19 witnessed 488 offers rolled out to all 411 students who appeared for placements over two interview days.
The 488 offers were made to students of PGP (409) and FPM (2). This season 129 Companies participated in the placement process. Total Pre-Placement offers made were 170 and Pre-Placement offers accepted 125; Lateral placement offers made / accepted were 142 / 110 respectively.
A total of 15 overseas offers were made. Overseas average salary offers is INR 62.3 Lac for the batch 2017-19 and last year average was INR 58.20 Lac per annum.
Domestic average salary is INR 24.54 Lac per annum. For the batch 2016-18 average salary was INR 22.76 Lac per annum.
Pre-Placement Offers were made by companies like Bain & Company and The Boston Consulting Group – 10 each; Accenture Strategy and Amazon – 8 each; A. T. Kearney – 7 and so on.
Accenture strategy made 30 offers followed by The Boston Consulting Group, A. T. Kearney, Bain & Company 14 each; Amazon 12; Deloitte USI 11; EXL 9; Strategy& 9; EY-Parthenon 8; ICICI Bank 8 and so on.
Consulting companies made 161 offers led by Accenture with 31 offers, followed by Deloitte with 25 offers. Others included AT Kearney (14), The Boston Consulting Group (14), Bain & Company (14) and so on.
Technology consulting made 20 offers led by PwC making the maximum of 12 offers followed by Larsen and Toubro InfoTech Consulting (4) and so on.
There were 54 offers overall in the Finance domain. Among global banks, Goldman Sachs made the maximum of 7 offers followed by JP Morgan (4), Deutsche Bank (2), Citibank (2) and so on.
Conglomerates recruited for their leadership tracks, making 40 offers in general management, with Adani Group leading with 7 offers followed by Tata Administrative Services (6), Aditya Birla Group (6) and so on.
Students opting for Sales and Marketing roles received 47 offers and were recruited by major consumer goods firms led by Anheuser-Busch Inbev (9). Other recruiters included Samsung Electronics (8), Procter & Gamble (4), Nestle (3), Asian Paints (3), Lenovo (3), Wipro Consumer Care (3) and so on.
The 32 offers made in the fast-growing analytics space included EXL Services (9), WNS Global (5). American Express (4), Gartner (4) and so on.
In IT product management domain, among the 41 offers, were Microsoft (7), Reliance Jio (5), Value Lab (4) and so on.
The e-Commerce and online space saw 52 offers with Amazon leading with 16 offers followed by Oyo Rooms (10), Flipkart (8), Myntra (7), Paytm (4) and so on.
Operations roles saw 18 offers – Bharti Airtel (4), Uber (4), Cloudtail (3), Accenture Operations (2) and so on.
