IIM Calcutta MBA Placement 2022: Keeping with the current placement trend of “All time high” average CTC, the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM C) released the final placement report for the MBA batch 2020-22 with an average salary which is highest ever in the history of the B School in Joka, Kolkata.

Average salary jumped by 17% in comparison to last year’s average salary 28.5 Lakh per annum. The consulting sector dominated with 49% students placed. while the median salary was up 14% to 31 lakh per annum.
Placing 465 students for its 57th batch, IIM Calcutta followed a cluster-based system where the participating firms were mapped to cohorts that were further mapped to their respective clusters.

- The consulting sector dominated with 49% students placed
- In the finance domain which made 18% of offers, the list of recruiters included the likes of Marquee Asset Management, Investment Banking, and Private Equity-Venture Capital firms.
- In the General Management and Marketing domain, 14% of offers were raised, led by prominent recruiters like Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, Tata Administrative Services, amongst others.

IIM Calcutta Placement 2021: Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM C) declared its final MBA placement report for the batch 2019-21.The institute recorded 100% placements with participation from 172 firms which extended 520 offers for the batch of 467 students. Average domestic salary offered is 28.49 lac per annum which is higher than previous year average salary of 27.9 lac per annum.
IIM MBA Placement was done in three Clusters
- Cluster 1: 33 recruiters rolling out 143 offers in Asset Management, Investment Banking & Markets, Private Equity & Venture Capital, Management & Advisory Consulting.
- Cluster 2 : 82 offers across 59 roles in FMCG, E-Commerce & ITeS, Consumer Services & Durables from ANI Technologies (Ola), EXL, Tata Consultancy Services, Vedanta Ltd.
- Cluster 3 : witnessed the participation of 49 firms from BFSI, Biotech, Govt. Organizations, Food Aggregators, IT/ITES, New-Age industries, Power & Utilities among others. Students received offers from ICICI Bank, Jubilant Foodworks, Mahindra Comviva, Turtlemint, Yes Bank, etc. Some of the established names like Angel Broking, Biocon, SunEdison, and Young-age startups including Kidex and Orphicy participated for the first time.
