Eminent industry experts, senior faculty members, research scholars, and newly admitted students actively participated in the inaugural ceremony. The dignified event was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of several distinguished guests, including G. S. Rao, Managing Director of Accenture USA (via virtual mode); Venkatesh Kidambi, Managing Director of OneMagnify India & Chief Guest; Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge of IIM Raipur; Prof. M. Kannadassan, Dean (Academics); Prof. Parikshit Charan, Chairperson (MBA Programme); Prof. R. K. Jana, Chairperson (Admissions); and Prof. Pradyumna Dash, Chairperson (Doctoral Programme).

Welcoming the newly admitted students, Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge of IIM Raipur, inspired them to wholeheartedly embrace the opportunities, challenges, and responsibilities that accompany management education. He underscored the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and nurturing future-oriented leaders capable of making meaningful and positive contributions to society. On this occasion, Prof. R. K. Jana, Chairperson (Admissions), introduced the diversity and excellent academic profile of the new MBA batch, stating that a total of 336 students from 28 states and union territories across the country have joined this session.

Highlighting the strong capability of this batch, he shared that 110 students possess prior work experience, while 226 students are fresh graduates. Remarkably, the average CAT percentile of the entire batch stands at 89.56, with 10 students securing an extraordinary score of over 99 percentile. Simultaneously, further strengthening its evolving research ecosystem, the institute extended a warm welcome to the PhD Batch 2026. A total of 13 outstanding research scholars have been selected for this new cohort across five core research areas: Operations Management & Decision Sciences, Human Resource Management & Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, and Strategy & Entrepreneurship. This exceptional group brings together meritorious students from leading and prestigious institutions in the country, such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Amritsar, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, NIT Raipur, and IISER Tirupati.

During the technical sessions of the inauguration, G. S. Rao, Managing Director of Accenture USA, strongly emphasized the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and purposeful leadership in this era of rapid technological transformation. Stressing the need for a fine balance between technical proficiency and human values, he stated that the students’ capacity to learn, adapt to changing circumstances, and lead amidst transformation will define their success; while technology will keep evolving, qualities like sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to creating a meaningful impact will always remain relevant.
Venkatesh Kidambi, Managing Director of OneMagnify India and Keynote Speaker of the ceremony, shed profound light on the emerging opportunities arising from India’s rapid growth trajectory and the expanding role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in reshaping global business.
