IIMV Convocations 2026: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) hosted its 10th Annual Convocation, marking a significant milestone in its journey of academic excellence. A total of 665 students graduated this year from the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) as it hosted its 10th annual convocation in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

The event commenced with the Chairperson of the Board of Governors (BoG), Hari S. Bhartia, formally declaring the convocation open, while M. Chandrasekhar, Director of IIM Visakhapatnam, presented the director’s report, highlighting the institution’s remarkable growth over the past decade. He emphasised key achievements including the expansion of academic programmes, strengthening of research output, deeper industry and policy engagement and growing international collaborations, alongside a continued focus on innovation and academic excellence.

Speaking about India’s dynamic innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting the opportunities it presents for young graduates, Hari S. Bhartia emphasising the impact of emerging technologies and encouraged the students to focus on the quality of their thinking, courage of their choices and integrity with which they act.

Delivering the convocation address, Zarin Daruwala, Group Chief Executive Officer, PL Capital encouraged the graduates to embrace feedback in a positive spirit and cultivate humility and a solution-oriented mindset. Also, she urged them to never compromise on ethics and values as they navigate their professional paths.

40 executive PG diploma programme in management (EPGDPM) batch-1
62 MBA PG programme in management for the centrally funded technical institutions, institutions of national importance (PGMCI) \
57 diplomas in management (PGPMCI) graduates, along with a Ph.D. scholar.

Among the top achievers, Aryaki Sanjay Pathak secured the first rank in the PGP programme and was also awarded the Vani Row Memorial Gold Medal.

About IIM V: Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) belongs to the prestigious IIM family of business schools. It is a new generation IIM, set up by the Government of India in September 2015. The Institute has two campuses with state-of-the-art facilities in the “City of Destiny”, Visakhapatnam. Its city campus is located in the salubrious precincts of Andhra University. As per NIRF 2025, IIM Visakhapatnam ranked 29th overall.
