Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM Bodh Gaya) successfully completed a three-day long Management Development Program (MDP) to enhance the selling prowess of middle-level managers at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). Inaugurated by Dr. Vinita S Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, and graced by Mr. Pratik Talukdar, Chief Manager (L&D) at IOCL, the MDP from 8th-10th May, 2024 on “The Art of Selling” was a transformative experience for IOCL participants. The event was attended by around 20 participants from all across the states like Panjab, Haryana, U.P., Delhi and Uttarakhand.

Dr. Chandan Parsad and Dr. Anup Soren, program coordin ators, led the initiative and designed a comprehensive curriculum that focused on educating participants with advanced selling tactics specifically designed for the B2B market. Over the course of three days, participants delved into topics such as Psychology of buying, Sales Process, Sales Force Management, Value Proposition Development, Negotiation Tactics, and Personalization Strategies, gaining practical insights and actionable strategies to excel in the competitive marketplace.
