Probable anticipated changes are
1) Normalisation of scores might be eliminated
(2) Shorter duration for the exam procedure, which usually runs for a month.
(3) Using Hybrid mode, with OMR Sheets and Computer based tests. This will give most of the students a chance to take the exam in a city of their choice.
Major alteration in CUET UG Exam format normalisation of scores to be scrapped
As shared by University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar while speaking with a news agency that the hybrid mode will promote equal opportunities for all, ensuring that geographical constraints do not hinder the students’ educational aspirations in rural and remote areas.

He further added that conducting the exam for a certain subject on a single day will eliminate the need for normalisation of scores. If the test is conducted on multiple days for the same paper, normalisation is done following a scientific method so that differences and marginalisations are ruled out. This will bring a change to the format which has been followed for the last two ( 2) years to conduct the test for the same paper over a period of two or three days, with OMR mode large number of schools and colleges can be brought under the purview of examination centre and thus single exam for single paper rule can be followed. Moreover the Hybrid Mode of exam will promote equal opportunities for all students particularly those in rural and remote areas.
