Critical Updates for NEET UG Candidates: For the lakhs of medical aspirants affected by this shift, the NTA has clarified several key administrative points to minimize further stress:
- No Re-registration: Candidates who successfully registered for the May 3rd exam do not need to apply again. Your existing application and registration remain valid.
- No Additional Fees: There is no extra charge for the re-examination.
- Fresh Admit Cards: The NTA will issue brand-new admit cards and city intimation slips closer to the June 21 date. Candidates must download these, as the old May 3rd admit cards will be invalid.
- Official Channels: Aspirants are strictly advised to rely only on the official NTA website (exams.nta.ac.in/NEET) for updates, as misinformation often circulates during such high-stakes delays.
NEET Chemistry Syllabus Chapter-wise weightage
Note on Preparation: The syllabus and exam pattern (180 minutes, 200 questions across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) remain identical. Use this extra time to refine your weak areas and revisit NCERT fundamentals.
NEET UG 2026 cancelled. New Date Soon
Why was it cancelled?
While the cancellation caused significant anxiety, the government maintained that protecting the “sanctity of the examination” was the priority. Allegations surfaced that leaked PDFs of the question paper were circulating on social media days before the original test date. By ordering a full re-test, the NTA aims to provide a level playing field for all 2.3 million students vying for MBBS and BDS seats.
