IIM Nagpur MBA Placements 2024: The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM-Nagpur) has been successful in placing the entire outgoing postgraduate programme (PGP) in management 2022-24 batch during campus placements this year, with the highest package being Rs. 38.40 lakh per annum.

The successful placements also hold significance because all the 255 students have secured job offers at a time when premier and top ranked institutes are unable to place their students during campus drives due to a slowdown in job market.

IIM Nagpur MBA Placements Facts:
- The highest salary offered is Rs. 38.4 LPA
- The average salary offered is Rs. 15.44 LPA
- The Median salary offered is Rs. 15 LPA
- The top 20% of the batch received average Salary Rs. 21.24 LPA
- The top 50% of the batch received average Salary Rs. 18.26 LPA
The institute also registered a 27% increase in the salaries offered to its students, while over 60 new recruiters participated in campus placements this year. The highest package of Rs. 38.40 lakh per annum was landed by a student who also has a B.Tech in computer science. The package has been offered by an information technology enabled services (ITES) firm.
An average pay of Rs. 15.44 lakh per annum and a median pay of Rs. 15 lakh was offered to the batch which comprised 56% boys and 44% girls. Maximum number of offers came from ITES and BFSI (banking finance services and insurance) sectors, which were also the most sought after offering roles in product management, strategy & consulting, sales & marketing, finance, general management.
The new companies also belonged to sectors like consulting, conglomerate, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, pharma and e-commerce etc.

Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, director, IIM Nagpur said it is a matter of pride that the institute pulled off 100% placements in the midst of a weak job market. “It took us some time but we were able to see all the students through. The intellectual capital of IIM Nagpur in the form of experienced faculty members and Nagpur’s robust connectivity attracted the recruiters,” he said.
Prof. Rahul Chaturvedi, in-charge, career development services, said since its inception in 2015, IIM-N has been able to record 100% campus placement. “At a time when many top-ranked institutions were struggling to get all their students placed, IIM-Nagpur takes pride in claiming that we successfully achieved 100% placement despite many of our recruiters from previous years faced diminished need for new talent and remained absent this year-on,” he said.
Chaturvedi added that IIM-Nagpur for its current batch of MBA has been successful in onboarding close to 60 new firms for final placements and 67 new firms for summer placements. Some of the prominent recruiters who visited IIM Nagpur in this cycle are Amazon, IBM, Takshashila Consulting, RBL Bank, Bandhan Bank, Coca Cola, IDBI Bank, IFB Industries, Haldiram’s, City Union Bank, Suzuki R&D Centre, JK Spices, Zaam Labs etc.
