Prof. (Dr.) Debashis Chatterjee: The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) Board of Governors (BoG), has re-appointed Prof Debashis Chatterjee as the Director of the Institute for a further period of five years, as per IIM Act 2017. Prof Chatterjee’s current tenure began in June 2018 after IIM Kozhikode became the first IIM to appoint its own Director autonomously.

Prof Chatterjee has been a Senior Professor and Dean (International Relations) at IIM Lucknow and Director General of IMI Delhi. He taught leadership classes at Harvard University and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Calcutta, Lucknow, and Kozhikode.
He was also instrumental in admitting more than 50 per cent women in the flagship Post Graduate Programme, a feat twice achieved by IIM Kozhikode. He has been awarded the Fulbright Fellowship twice for Pre-Doctoral and Post-Doctoral work at Harvard University.
About Dr. (Prof.) Debashis Chatterjee: Dr. (Prof.) Debashis Chatterjee is an Indian management professor, author, and columnist. He is the director of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Chatterjee served as the director of the institute for two term. His first tenure was from 2009 to 2014. He returned again to the post in 2018.

He was awarded the Fulbright Fellowship twice: once for pre-doctoral (1994-1995) and a second time for post-doctoral(2000-2001) work at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
