Prof. Gautam Ghosh takes over as Director at Rajalakshmi School of Business (RSB), Chennai’s prestigious management institute.
An electronic engineer from IIT Kanpur and management graduate (PGDM) of IIM Calcutta, Prof. Ghosh comes with extensive industry experience in Marketing, Strategic Planning and General Management, having worked with Hutch Telecom (now Vodafone) and BOC India Ltd. (now Linde India Ltd.) He has been associated with Globsyn Business School (as its first Dean) and ISB&M Kolkata before his stint with the Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), Madurai for five years as director, during which period he led TSM to 15th position in the NIRF B-school rankings in 2016, prior to joining RSB.
He has also been a visiting professor at IIM Kashipur, XLRI Jamshedpur, IIFT Kolkata and the Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM) at IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Subhendu Dey was the heading the institute, earlier.
Rajalakshmi School of Business, promoted by the Rajalakshmi Group of Institutions, the Chennai based 20-year old premier and highly respected educational house, is located in the western suburbs of Chennai and offers a high-end PGDM programme approved by the AICTE.
For the batch of 2016-18, the average and highest salary offered were INR 5.03 LPA and INR 7 LPA respectively.
At RSB, efforts are on to provide students with a rich menu of organisations across multiple verticals wherein to seek their summer and final placements which match their aspirational standards.
“We are working on the curriculum too, which is aligned with industry requirements. Being an autonomous B-school, we are empowered to revise the curriculum and pedagogy frequently, in fact, every year, if required. One decision that we have already taken is to introduce Business Analytics as an area of specialization, starting with the 2019/20 batch” said Prof. Ghosh.
