The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati launched an online Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The Minimum duration of the programme is 4 years with “ Multi – Exit System’ at various points by earning the respective certificate after the successful completion of the required coursework. Each Year will have 3 Terms with 12 weeks duration.

The Multi -Exit options are as given below:

Advanced Certificate in Data Science and AI – after 1st year Exit
Diploma in Data Science and AI – After 2nd year Exit
B.Sc. Degree in Data Science and AI – After completing 3 years
B.Sc. (Honours) Degree in Data Science and AI – After 4th year

Programme Highlights

This programme is meticulously designed to prepare students to meet the demands of the industry. Upon completion, the students will be well-equipped with essential qualifications, skills, and resources to pursue various roles in the technology sector.
Students admitted to the programme may choose their pace and course of study. A student can register to a lesser number of courses than prescribed in a given trimester.
The programme will be 100% online and offered on Coursera platform targeting the international learners too.

Eligibility and Admission

Eligibility:

Class XII or equivalent with at least 60% marks and Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects.

Admission:

Eligible candidates will be required to enroll into an online Course, based on basic Mathematics, developed specifically for this program. Applicants will be ranked using a Composite Score that will be based upon their performance in Class X, XII, and the online course. Admission will be given on the basis of the rank.
Alternatively, applicants eligible to appear in JEE (Adv) and have registered for it (in any year) will be given direct admission.

Fee Structure

Programme Fee: Approx. Rs. 3,49,000 for four-year BSc(Hons) degree as per the following break-up:
Admission Fee: Rs. 50,000. To be paid once at the time of admission.
Course Registration Fee: Rs. 1,000 per credit. To be paid every trimester based on the number of credits registered.
