The Ashoka School of Business (ASB) buzzed with fresh energy and new aspirations as it welcomed the incoming PGDM Batch of 2025–27 through a spirited and inspiring Orientation Ceremony held on campus today.

The event was not just an inauguration—it was a celebration of possibilities. From motivating speeches to meaningful collaborations, and moments of warmth that made everyone feel like they belonged, the day was a powerful reminder of ASB’s mission: to shape leaders who lead with purpose, courage, and innovation.
The ceremony was graced by the institution’s leadership, including Chairman Mr. Ashok Nomula, Director Dr. Y. Lakshman Kumar, Secretary Mr. Arjun Nomula, and distinguished alumna Ms. Anjana Magisetty. The spotlight, however, belonged to the Chief Guest, Mrs. Vani Rai K, a transformational leader from Cargill South Asia, whose inspiring words left an unforgettable impact on the audience.
In his welcome address, Dr. Y. Lakshman Kumar, Director of ASB, emphasized the importance of value-driven education and urged students to embrace curiosity, integrity, and lifelong learning. Mr. Arjun Nomula, Secretary of ASB, delivered a compelling message centered around innovation and adaptability. He encouraged students to think beyond the ordinary, embrace challenges, and use their time at ASB as a launchpad for meaningful careers by linking this to Aspire, Strive and Bloom.
The event’s Chief Guest, Mrs. Vani Rai K, brought global perspective and inspiration to the stage. Drawing from her 24+ years of leadership across top-tier organizations like Cargill, Kerry, and ITC, she spoke about the evolving landscape of business, the power of inclusive leadership, and how authenticity and continuous growth define today’s successful professionals.
Adding a touch of pride and nostalgia, ASB’s distinguished alumna Ms. Anjana Magisetty, now an Advanced Analyst at EY GDS, reflected on her own transformation at ASB. Her address was a heartfelt reminder that success is built not just on academic excellence, but also on resilience, collaboration, and a willingness to take chances. Her journey from ASB to the global finance arena stood as a beacon of possibility for the incoming batch.
Adding a global and entrepreneurial edge to the occasion, ASB formalized strategic MoUs with organizations such as Diplomatic Club, MEESCHOOL, Trigunita EdTech and AIESEC opening doors for cross-cultural exposure, real-world startup experience, and creative career pathways for students.
The event also featured the launch of ASB’s Academic Handbook & Aarohan 2025 30 day orientation program. Activities under A-Hub Dr. Sabitha CIO & Introduction of TEAM by Dr. Swathi, Dean heartfelt messages from current students—making it a perfect blend of vision, connection, and celebration.
A new journey has begun. And it begins here, at Ashoka School of Business—with heart, with hope, and with a hunger to grow.
