What is CAP ? Common Admission process or CAP is the final selection round for MBA admissions in new IIMs and Baby IIMs which may include Writing Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI) round, as per the respective institute’s admission policies.
CAP 2020: is being conducted by IIM Ranchi this year in the month of February-March. The selection process shall consist of 2 phase – Writing Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI). IIM Ranchi, which is coordinating the Common Admission Process 2020 will announce the CAP 2020 shortlist for all the participating IIMs for WAT and PI round along with the dates which is expected to start in the second week of February 2020 and the process will conclude in March 2020.
CAP 2020 Participating IIMs: Out of total 13 new and baby IIMs, 9 IIMs are participating in new IIM Admission process in CAP 2020. These are IIM Bodh Gaya/ IIM Jammu / IIM Kashipur / IIM Raipur / IIM Ranchi / IIM Sambalpur / IIM Sirmaur / IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur.
IIM Rohtak, IIM Amritsar, IIM Vishakhapatnam and IIM Nagpur are out of CAP 2020 this Year.
CAP 2020 Shortlist: The CAP participating IIMs had an intake of 1500+ seats last year for 9 IIMs. It is expected that the intake will increase this year and based on the increased number of seats, it is projected that 15,000+ candidates who appeared and qualified the sectional and overall cut offs based on the CAT 2019 results, shall be invited.
