The Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management (MiM) 2025 rankings have been released, with the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland reclaiming its top position. The rankings highlight the continuing dominance of European business schools and the rising presence of Indian institutions.

Key Highlights of the FT MiM 2025 Rankings
- University of St. Gallen Rises Again: After briefly losing the top spot in 2024, the University of St. Gallen’s MiM program is once again ranked number one globally. The school has a long-standing history of being at or near the top of the rankings, known for its small class size and strong alumni network.
- European Schools Dominate: The top 10 is predominantly made up of European business schools, with notable entries from France and Spain. This reflects the deep-rooted tradition and high quality of MiM programs in the region. Other top-ranked European schools include HEC Paris, which is a frequent competitor for the top spot, and INSEAD.
- India’s Performance decline: Indian business schools performance decline overall but increase in Ranking of Few B School. This year only 11 B Schools enters into top 100 B Schools, The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B) has climbed to 28th globally.
- Diversity and ESG: The rankings also consider factors like diversity among faculty and students, as well as the school’s focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and net zero teaching. IIM Bangalore, for instance, saw a dramatic leap in its carbon footprint rank, moving from 73 to 13.
