Amritsar, Aug 03 2026: The Indian Institute of Management Amritsar (IIMAm) successfully hosted Yukti’26, its 11th Annual HR Conclave, at Radisson Blu, Amritsar. The day-long conclave brought together eminent HR leaders and industry experts to deliberate on the evolving dynamics of work, leadership and human capital management, providing students with valuable opportunities to engage with contemporary workplace challenges and emerging trends.

The conclave commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by Dr Arun Kumar Kaushik, Dean Administration, Dr Ananya Syal, Chairperson, Students’ Affairs, Dr Vartika Dutta, Faculty Anchor, HRithvi, the HR Club of IIMAm, along with the distinguished panellists. In his inaugural address, Dr Kaushik welcomed the distinguished speakers, faculty, staff and students, underscoring the importance of industry-academia dialogue in shaping future-ready organisations. Emphasising the need for continuous learning in an era of rapid technological advancement, he observed that individuals who fail to evolve with changing technologies risk becoming irrelevant, and highlighted that conclaves like Yukti provide a valuable platform to validate classroom learning through practical industry insights.

Thereafter, students of IIMAm, Ms Koushiki Mukherjee and Ms Sarah Varghese, presented the theme of the first session, “Beyond the Job Description: Trust, Influence and the Changing Employee Experience.” They outlined how workplaces today are increasingly shaped by trust, informal influence and evolving employee expectations beyond formal structures and defined roles. They emphasised that creating meaningful employee experiences requires organisations to foster transparency, collaboration and inclusive growth. This was followed by the felicitation of the esteemed guests of the first panel by Dr Syal.

The panel discussion was moderated by Ms Vidhya Prabhu, Associate Director, Kyndryl, highlighting how evolving workforce expectations across generations are reshaping organisational culture and emphasising that building trust requires organisations to adapt beyond conventional approaches to talent and leadership. Mr Tirthankar Raychaudhury, Vice President Human Resources, Bennett Coleman and Co Ltd, shared his perspectives on the evolving expectations of the modern workforce, advocating that organisations must foster trust, inclusion and meaningful career experiences while adapting to changing employee aspirations and business realities. Mr Yeshwinder Patial, CHRO & Head Corporate Affairs, JSW MG Motor India, reflected on the evolving nature of trust in modern workplaces, emphasising that open communication, mutual accountability and a long-term perspective are essential to building strong organisations in an era of changing workforce and consumer expectations, while Ms Arshiya Singh, Director – Global Compensation, BCG, underscored that building trust in today’s multi-generational workplace requires moving beyond labels, embracing diverse perspectives and fostering credibility, empathy and a spirit of giving.

The discussion concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students interacted with the panellists and explored diverse perspectives on the changing employee experience. Dr Vartika Dutta unveiled Ekagra, HRithvi’s bi-annual magazine, in the presence of the esteemed panelists. The magazine underscores IIMAm’s continued commitment to fostering thought leadership and meaningful discourse on the evolving world of work.
After a brief lunch break, the second session commenced with a welcome address, after which students of IIMAm, Ms Avni Madan and Ms Amrit Sandhu, introduced the theme, “Humans, Machines and Managers: Who Leads the Workforce of the Future?” They reflected on how artificial intelligence and intelligent systems are reshaping organisational structures, workforce planning and leadership, while underscoring the need to balance technological advancement with ethical, human-centred decision-making. The guests were felicitated by Dr Ravishankar Kommu, Chairperson, Students’ Affairs.

The second panel discussion was moderated by Ms Amrita Sarkar, Director – Business Enablement & People Strategy, Whirlpool, who shared her insights on the evolving role of leaders in balancing technology with human values, emphasising that collaboration, integrity and strong governance are essential to building responsible, future-ready organisations. Mr Mohit Kumar, President HR, Hindalco Industries Limited, spoke about preserving the human essence in an AI-driven world, noting that while technology enhances capability, it is character, empathy, adaptability and continuous learning that define effective leadership. Continuing the discussion, Mr P Ganesan, Senior Vice President – HR & Admin, People Interactive, stressed that while AI can enhance workplace decisions, human judgement, trust and meaningful interactions must continue to guide its use. Mr R Ramakrishnan, CHRO, Go Fashion India Ltd, discussed how AI is transforming workforce management by bridging operational challenges, while reflecting the need to build competencies and use technology to strengthen everyday decision-making.
