The ceremony honored the achievements of students from the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM), the Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), the Post-Graduate Programme in Management – Human Resources (PGPM-HR), and the Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM). This convocation also highlighted the institute’s steady growth, with a strong representation of scholars and professionals across full-time and executive programmes.

In his inspiring address, R. N. Ravi thanked the management for the opportunity to be part of the joyous occasion and congratulated the graduates on their hard-earned achievements, with their degrees serving as a testament to their hard work. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of IIM Tiruchirappalli’s faculty, who mentored and shaped the students, as well as the supporting staff for their invaluable contributions. Highlighting the energy and potential young people represent, he urged the graduates to take on the world with confidence, emphasizing that they are graduating at a golden time for the nation, with abundant opportunities to let their talent blossom. Reflecting on India’s remarkable transformation over the last decade — from being overlooked to now playing a critical role in major global decisions — he celebrated the country’s position as the fastest-growing economy and one of the top startup ecosystems, proudly noting that this evolution is driven by young men and women like the graduates themselves. He also lauded the entrepreneurial spirit in Tamil Nadu, with over 1.5 crore MUDRA loan beneficiaries, nearly half of whom are women. Stressing the importance of aligning personal growth with the nation’s progress, he reminded graduates that they are not just individuals but national assets with a responsibility toward building a developed India. Encouraging them to dream big and pursue holistic growth, he wished them success as the proud children of Bharat Mata.
Mr. Jalaj Dani, Chairman of IIM Tiruchirappalli extended sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest and warmly welcomed the members of the Board of Governors, along with faculty, staff, and family. He shared ten life lessons to guide the graduating batch as they step into the next phase of their journey. Emphasizing that leadership is about courage and conviction, not titles, he urged students to think beyond convention, embrace failure as part of growth, and uphold integrity. He stressed the importance of curiosity, teamwork, empathy, and giving back, encouraging graduates to stay connected to their roots. Concluding his speech, he congratulated the batch and reminded them to step forward and make it count.
While presenting the institute’s report, Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli, emphasized the institute’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and innovation. He highlighted the steady growth of academic programmes, with 32 full-time and 41 executive doctoral scholars currently enrolled.
The 13th batch of the flagship PGPM saw 355 students graduating today.
- The PGPM-HR programme saw 53 students graduate. At the Chennai campus,
- 46 students of the PGPBM programme have completed their studies.
- 14 PGPM DAP (Differently Abled Person) students
- 2 PGPM-HR DAP students
- 3 scholars from the Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM)
- 3 scholars from the Doctoral Programme for Research (DPR) were awarded their degrees.
Dr. Singh reiterated that these milestones reflect IIM Tiruchirappalli’s dedication to shaping future business leaders.
