IIM Visakhapatnam presented summer placement report for the batch 2018-20, with average stipend offered being INR 50,630.00 while highest is INR 2.5 Lac.
After IIM Nagpur, IIM Visakhapatnam is the 2nd of the 3rd generation IIMs that released summer placement for the PGP batch 2018-20. All the 104 students in the batch received summer internship offers. The average stipend of the top 25% of the batch has been stated to be INR 93,200.00
Profiles of offers as reported is – Sales & Marketing (34%), Strategy & Advisory (19%), General Management (23%), and Customer Relationship Management (15%).
Roles in Finance, Operations and Product Management accounted for 9% of the offers. For the last batch of 2017-19, 39% students were inducted in Sales & Marketing. Organizations from banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector such as Yes Bank, ICICI Lombard and HDFC Bank offered roles in Customer Relationship Management, Wholesale Marketing, Underwriting and Business Development. Multinational conglomerate Bosch offered roles in General Management, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management. The Bengaluru-headquartered full-service landholding development company Century Real Estate recruited some students for strategic roles too.
