The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) has successfully completed the summer internships placements (SIP) for the MBA 2024-26 batch.

According to IIMV officials, the highest stipend offered was Rs. 3.5 lakh for the two-month internship, a 46% increase from last year.

IIM V Summer Placements 2024-26 batch
- The average stipend across the batch was about Rs 69,000.
- The average stipend for the top 5% is Rs. 2.09 lakh
- The top 10% earns an average of Rs 1.82 lakh
- The top 25% have an average stipend of Rs. 1.33 lakh
- The average stipend for the top 50% is Rs. 96,879.
- The highest stipend offered was Rs. 3.5 lakh
IIMV saw participation from both new and existing recruiters across various industries and domains. The summer placement season, held on a rolling basis, featured over 130 companies that extended multiple offers. These offers came from a diverse range of industries, including IT/ITeS, BFSI, consulting, pharma, FMCG, etc.

Speaking to TOI, IIMV director Prof. M Chandrasekhar said that summer internships provide students with practical exposure, allowing them to apply theoretical concepts in real-world settings. “Many companies use internships as a recruitment tool, offering full-time positions to interns who perform well. Employers will also look for how students uphold values and care for the environment. As students begin their professional journey, internships serve as a vital stepping stone to showcase their skills. With strong technical and interpersonal abilities, IIMV students are ready to succeed and stand out. I believe many IIMV students will secure top placement offers through these internships,” said Prof. Chandrasekhar.
