Management Development Institute Gurgaon (MDI Gurgaon or MDI G) and MDI Murshidabad jointly celebrated Convocation 2023 at MDI Gurgaon campus on 15 April 2023. The convocation ceremony was conducted under the revered presence of Shri. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Food and Public Distribution, and Textiles, who presided over as the Chief Guest.

The Chairman Shri Rajnish Kumar, MDI Board of Governors, MDI Board of Governors, Members of the Board of Governors, Acting Director, MDI Gurgaon, Dr. Sangeeta Shah Bhardwaj, Director, MDI Murshidabad, Dr. Atmanand, as well as teachers, students, parents, and prominent visitors, attended the Joint Annual Convocation.
A total of 556 students from various Post Graduate Programmes, including 7 Fellow Scholars, got diplomas from MDI Gurgaon from the academic year 2021–2023 class. Additionally, the institute awarded 21 medals to deserving students.

158 students in the PGDM programme received certificates from MDI Murshidabad, as well as 5 medals.
MDI Gurgaon finished yet another academic year of excellent placements, carrying on the legacy. At Rs. 60 lakhs, the maximum salary was offered. The median salary offered to the batch was Rs. 26.13 lakhs per annum. The recruitment drive involved 102 companies in all, 21 of which were first-time recruiters.
Numerous companies made significant offers in industries including energy, conglomerates and manufacturing, technology, media and tele-communications, BFSI, consultancy, FMCG/FMCD, automobiles, e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and energy and logistics.

Research events are critical in promoting research, connecting it to practice, and increasing visibility in the academic community,” said Dr. Sangeeta Shah Bhardwaj, Acting Director, MDI Gurgaon .
“This year we have added more international partners and now we have MoUs with over 90 international institutes and organisations to facilitate student and faculty exchange programme for doing joint research, organizing conferences and conducting programmes” added Dr. Bhardwaj.

The final placement for the batch of 2021–23 was completed by MDI Murshidabad in record time with continuous improvement over the years in terms of final and summer placements, but this year’s outcomes stand out in particular. The average and median salary have increased significantly, reaching new highs of Rs.12.67 lakh per annum and Rs.11.40 lakh per annum, respectively.
The highest bidder’s offer, which climbed by 42.8% to 20 lakh rupees per annum, was closely followed by offers of Rs. 18.65 lakh per annum and Rs. 18.02 lakh per annum. Students were placed in 56 companies, 32 of which were new recruiters.”, said Dr. Atmanand, Director, MDI Murshidabad.
