NIRF Ranking 2023 Medical Category Live update as on 11:30 AM June 06, 2023. The wait for one of the most awaited rankings of the year in the education sector in India is over with the 8th edition of NIRF Ranking 2023 getting released. Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, the Minister of State for Education and External Affairs has released the ranking.
NIRF Ranking, which started in 2016 with 4 categories : Management, Engineering, University and Pharmacy, now in its 8th edition has 13 categories in 2023. It started with and now in 2023 8686 institutions participated.
Update as on 3:10 PM, Jun 05, 2023. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS, New Delhi) occupies the top slot in Medical for the sixth consecutive year, i.e. from 2018 to 2023. Moreover, AIIMS is ranked at 6th position in ‘Overall’ category thereby improving from its 9th position in 2022.

The fifth rank has been secured by Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, Puducherry. The institute was in sixth position last year. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham saw an improvement from the eighth spot last year to the sixth spot this year.

IIM Calcutta ranked 4th in the NIRF Ranking Management Category, IIM Kozhikode ranked 5th in 2022, jumped by 2 places where as XLRI Slip by one position.

NIRF Ranking 2023: The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, will release the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2023 today (June 5). The list will be available on the official website.
In NIRF Ranking 2022, there were only four categories: Overall, Colleges, Universities, and Research Institutions, and seven subject domains: Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medical, Architecture, and Dental. However, this year, NIRF has added one new discipline – Agriculture and Allied Sectors. Additionally, the architecture discipline has been renamed as ‘Architecture and Planning’.

NIRF Ranking: VIT tops for once again in Private Engg Category
Last year, IIT Madras retained its number one position in the overall educational institutes and engineering categories. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru ranked first in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings 2022 under the research and universities category.
Top 10 Private Colleges as per NIRF Ranking 2022
2021, too, IIT Madras topped the list with a score of 90.19 and was closely followed by IIT Delhi which scored 88.96. IIT Bombay and Kanpur had closely followed the two varsities with a score of 85.16 and 83.22 respectively, with IIT Kharagpur gaining the fifth spot with a score of 82.03.
