- Core Branch Dominance: Civil Engineering recorded the highest overall placement clearance rate at 96.55%, closely followed by Mechanical Engineering at 95.14%. The institute continues to heavily leverage its close proximity to the Adityapur industrial hub and major manufacturing giants like Tata Steel.
- The New Branch Debut: The newly introduced Engineering of Computational Mechanics (ECM) branch made a highly successful debut, registering an impressive average package of ₹15.89 LPA right out of the gate.

- The Computer Science Engineering department emerged as the top-performing branch in terms of salary packages. Along with the highest package of ₹94.25 lakh, the department achieved an average package of ₹29.56 lakh per annum. Out of 111 registered students from the branch, 104 secured placements, resulting in an 87.39 percent placement rate.
- The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department also delivered outstanding results. The highest package offered to an ECE student reached ₹66.70 lakh per annum, while the average package stood at ₹21.50 lakh. Out of 102 students, 97 were placed.

National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, earlier known as Regional Institute of Technology was established on 15th August 1960 as a joint venture of Government of India and the Government of Bihar in the chain of REC’s (Regional Engineering College) in India with the aim to generate technical graduates of highest standards who could provide technological leadership to the region. It was among the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) established as part of the Second Five-Year Plan (1956 – 1961).
