The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has secured the 21st position globally in the Financial Times (FT) Masters in Management (MiM) 2026 Rankings for its flagship two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP). With this performance, IIM Bangalore has retained its position as the #1 Business School in India and stands as the sole Indian institution in the global top 25.
IIM Kozhikode Rises 15 Places to #54 Globally in FT MIM Rankings 2026
IIM Bangalore’s global rank has climbed steadily over recent cycles, moving up from 28th in 2025 and 41st in 2024.
Key Metrics & Ranking Highlights
- Global Ranking Progression: Rose 7 places to #21 globally.
- National Rank: Retained the #1 spot in India among 14 ranked domestic institutions.
- Careers Service Rank: Positioned at #8 globally, advancing from #11 in 2025.
- Alumni Network Rank: Advanced to #19 globally from #31 in the previous cycle.
- Career Progress Rank: Improved to #69 globally (up from #90).
- Value for Money Rank: Moved up to #65.

The Financial Times MiM 2026 rankings evaluated 100 accredited business schools worldwide. The methodology combines two key data components:
- Alumni Feedback (56% weight): Collected from alumni three years post-graduation (Class of 2023), assessing salary, career progression, value for money, and network strength.
- Institutional Data (44% weight): Evaluates criteria including faculty doctorates, international diversity, gender parity, and ESG integration.
Switzerland’s University of St. Gallen secured the #1 position globally, followed by Portugal’s Nova School of Business and Economics (#2) and China’s Shanghai Jiao Tong University: Antai (#3).
