Updated as on Jan 22, 2019. CMAT Exam 2019:Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination for entry into management programmes. Till 2018, it was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Test will now be conducted by the NTA. The CMAT is a three hour computer based online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. More than 100 Business School of the country accept CMAT Score for admissions to their respective MBA and PGDM courses including few top rated MBA colleges eg. K J Somaiya, GIM Goa, IFMR Chennai, XISS, IMT Hyderabad and Nagpur; XIME Bangalore, Great Lakes, BIMTECH, SIMSREE, Wellingkar and many more. This is for the 1st time NTA is conducting CMAT, GPAT, NEET (UG), UGC NET and JEE MAIN Exams.
The creation of National Testing Agency (NTA) as a Society as an autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for higher educational institutions was created by the MHRD Government of India in the month July 2018. According to the new body which has been set up CMAT, GPAT and JEE MAIN shall now be conducted twice in a year and NEET (UG) once in a year.
However, the nature of CMAT Exams has not been changed at least till now. There may be some changes introduced later. Keep checking this site for further updates on this.
CMAT Syllabus 2019: Pattern
- The exam will be online.
- Formula [Correct answers] x 4 – [Wrong answers] x 1 = Total marks.
- Duration of the exam will be 3 hours or 180 minutes.
- The language of question paper will be in English, Hindi or Regional Language.
- Maximum marks will be 400 for the total number of 100 questions
