Today, the news is official: he’s announced on social media his appointment as the Director of the Dera Bassi Campus and Professor & Dean at L M Thapar School of Management! He shared, “Having successfully completed my tenure as Director, IIM Shillong, I have now joined as Director, Dera Bassi Campus and Professor & Dean LM Thapar School of Management. LM Thapar School of Management is an AACSB accredited School located at Dera Bassi near Chandigarh – the second campus of TIET.”

Dr. D.P. Goyal is a distinguished academician and visionary administrator with over 38 years of experience in teaching, research, executive education, and academic leadership. He served as the Director of IIM Shillong, where his tenure was marked by remarkable institutional growth and transformation. His illustrious career includes key leadership roles at MDI Gurgaon and IMT Ghaziabad, supervision of 16 Ph.D. scholars, and authorship of numerous research publications and textbooks.
