Eligibility 2024: IIMB uses multiple parameters, namely academic performance in school, high school and graduation programmes as well as candidate’s scores in CAT/GMAT to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP programme. Relevant work experience, if any, is also given weightage.

Admission/ Selection Process 2024
IIMB adopts a two-phase selection process and accordingly these selection criteria are applied in two phases. The first phase of the process is applied to all eligible candidates who appear for CAT to determine candidates to be called for a personal interview (PI). Candidates selected for the PI process will be additionally required to take a Writing Ability Test (WAT) for 30 mins on a topic to be provided by IIMB. During the interview, the panel will evaluate each candidate’s academic background, quality of work experience and other personal traits. The WAT submission will be evaluated separately. The scores of the WAT, interview and pre-PI scores (with appropriate weightages) will be used cumulatively in the second and final phase to select the candidates for the programme.

The selection process, parameters and weights used uniform for all applicants within a category. Sufficient candidates are shortlisted at each stage from each social category to meet the reservation requirement for each group, as applicable at that time.

Dual / Double Degree Programs
Students of the two-year Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management have the opportunity to obtain double degrees by being a part of the Double Degree (DD) programme.
IIM Bangalore has collaborated with the following two international partners to offer DD Programmes.

Ø Bocconi University, Milano, Italy
During their DD Programme exchange, the selected students’ study at their home institution in the first academic year and transfer to the host institution in the second academic year. The selection process starts when the students are in their first year of PGP. The PGP office will share relevant details, before commencing the selection process.
IIMB Placement 2023:The Lateral & final Placements for the PGP and PGP – BA of 2021- 23 of IIMB saw 606 offers(out of which 6 – were Overseas ) made to all 512 students who appeared for the 2- day Interview process. Average Salary Offered INR 33.82 LPA , Median Salary is INR 31.2 LPA . The avg rise in salary jump is 12.85% approx. A total of 137 companies participated in the Final Placement.
