NIT Hamirpur Placement: Nishant Hada, a student of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, has got a record placement package of INR 1.5 crore. Nishant, a final year student of the dual degree B. Tech and M. Tech programs of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has been selected for US-based finance company Bloomberg.

By getting an annual package of Rs 1.51 crore, Nishant has broken all the records of the institute’s placement 
package. Not only this, it is believed to be the highest package of North India. Earlier in June 2019, Param Singh, a student of dual degree B.Tech and M.Tech program of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of NIT Hamirpur itself, was appointed in a software company in America at an annual package of INR 1.20 crores.

Nishant will complete his degree in December this year, while joining the American company is to be given before September 2022. Nishant is originally from Rajasthan. His father Devendra Singh is a manager in a private company and mother Sarita Singh is serving in the school.
