NITs Placement 2022: The placement reports of all the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) had been the best ever.
This year multiple packages worth crores of Rupees as remuneration were being offered by recruiters at NITs and IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).
IIT Placements 2022 set new highs for Batch 2022, Job offers in Crores
As per reports till Feb 15th, 2022, the highest offer among the NITs has been made at NIT Hamirpur where a package worth of Rs. 1.5 Crores per annum has been rolled out.

“The average salary is up by 35% this year compared to last year. Our top salary is Rs 1.5 crore—the highest ever,” reportedly said Dr. Lalit Awasthi, Director of NIT Hamirpur. Earlier in the year 2019, an offer of Rs. 1 crore was offered.

Most offers were from the IT and ITeS industry which is evident from the list of companies that visited the campus for placements. Roles offered were generally in the technology domain. This was also cited as the possible rise in pay packages.
IIT Kanpur (IITK) Placement 2021: 49 Offers Above Rs 1 Crore
Among other NITs, NIT Calicut reported a rise of almost 50% in the highest salary offered in campus, while NIT Jamshedpur reported an increase in average salary by almost 30% this year.
Around 60 Students from IIT Delhi, 49 Students from IIT Kanpur also received 1 crore plus annual packages. Highest package of Rs. 2.5 Crore per annum has been offered to a student at IIT Guwahati.
Some of the prominent recruiters at the NITs this year were – Microsoft, Amazon, Paytm, Samsung, Atlassian, Intuit, Tata Steel, Texas Instruments, Aditya Birla Group, Flipkart, Tata Motors, Vedanta, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, PwC and Deloitte, among others,
At NIT Jamshedpur, the highest salary received this year has been Rs 56 lakh per year which was offered by Atlassian. Last year’s highest offer was of Rs 37.5 lakh per annum..
NIT Durgapur has received 530 offers so far this year compared to 429 last year. The average salary has gone up at Durgapur to Rs 11.46 lakh this year, up by 37% from Rs 8.34 lakh for the 2021 batch.
At NIT Calicut, the top offer has been Rs 67.6 lakh, which was bagged by four students, compared to last year’s top offer of Rs 43 lakh. The average salary so far has been listed as Rs 14.5 lakh compared to Rs 13 lakh last year. Around 60% hike in the total number of offers was reported, compared to last year.
NIT Rourkela Placement 2021
NIT Manipur received 80 offers. Salary packages were up for CS, IT, ECE, EE etc.
NIT Jalandhar, recorded an increase in average salary of Rs 11.87 lakh per annum from Rs 8.5 lakh last year. The top offer has been Rs 44 lakh per annum. highest ever, for NIT Jalandhar.
