NIRF Ranking 2024: The Ministry of Education announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024. IIT Madras (IIT M) is the best institute in India, IIM Ahmedabad (IIM A) tops in Management category and IISc Bengaluru is the top university in the country.
In the top 10 list of MBA Colleges as per NIRF India Ranking 2024, Out of 10, 2 IIT and private Business Schools – XLRI Ranked in top 10 and 7 are IIMs.
IIM Bodh Gaya climbs 20 ranks to be ranked 33

- In the private MBA College category MD, GurgainI & SIBM Pune jumped. (Management Development Institute, Gurgaon) MDI Gurgaon jumped by 2 places; 11th position in 2024 where as 13th in 2023. Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune ranked 13th in 2024 whereas 2023 ranked 17th.

This year’s ranking saw a record 10,885 institutions applying, highlighting a significant increase in participation and competition among India’s educational institutions since its launch in 2015.
MDI Gurgaon reclaims position in the NIRF Ranking – 2nd in Private B Schools
IIM Ahmedabad is followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode at the second and third spots — similar to last year. No changes in the first three places. This time, however, IIT Delhi has improved its ranking from fifth to fourth rank, while IIM Calcutta has slipped to the fifth position. IIM Indore, XLRI – Xavier School of Management and IIT Bombay have retained their eighth, ninth and tenth spots respectively, this year.
