The Union Education Ministry announced new directors for six IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) across the 
country. The ministry has appointed Dr. (Prof. ) Manindra Agarwal as IIT Kanpur (Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur) director, Agrawal was a professor at IIT-Kanpur’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
