IIM Amritsar inaugurated the maiden batch of the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics (DSBA) on the 4th of July 2022 in the college premises. It is a one year on campus program, designed for young graduates with upto 2 years of work experience who aspire to develop analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

The inaugural address for the program was delivered by Dr. Mahima Gupta, Dean of Academics, in the presence of Dr. Ankit Sharma and Dr. Shuvabrata Chakraborty, the coordinators of the program, and Dr. Sunil Reddy Kunduru, Chair, IT and Computational Systems.

Dr. Shuvabrata in his welcome speech gave the glimpse of what the DSBA (Data Science & Business Analytics) Program has in store for the participants ahead. Dr. Mahima gave a warm welcome to the participants emphasizing on the rigour and relevance of the Data Science and Analytics in today’s fast changing industry needs.

Dr. Ankit gave the mantra of experimenting and discovering new avenues in the field of data science and how the entire curriculum would connect all the dots that are key focus areas in the field.

Dr. Sunil congratulated the pioneering batch and shared the importance of the carefully curated modules that will shape the participants for the industry needs.
