IIT BHU B Tech Placement 2024: The 10-day placement drive at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi (IIT BHU) began on Friday with the maximum package of Rs. 1.68 crore being offered to a student. About 230 companies are taking part in the placement drive, which will continue till December 10. About 1,700 students have registered for the placement drive.

According to the IIT (BHU) spokesperson, on the first day of the drive, 465 students were placed, including 307 pre-placement offers to the final year students.

While the maximum package so far touched the mark of Rs. 1.68 crore, the lowest package was Rs. 12.5 lakh. Besides, 353 paid internship offers were given to pre-final year students on the first day.
IIT-BHU’s Placement Officer Professor Sushant Srivastava said that the placement in IIT-BHU has started from the night of 30th November. In which 250 big companies from India and abroad are reaching the institute. This includes names like Tata, Microsoft, Google Jaguar, Amazon.

He said that according to the reports received so far, 617 students have got the placement opportunity in just two days. Among this number, there are 6 such students who have been offered packages worth crores by the company.
