IIT Guwahati: Prof. Parameswar K. Iyer takes charge as Officiating Director in place of Dr. T.G. Sitharam. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT G) Director T.G. Sitharam has been appointed as the new chairperson for the All India Institute for Technical Education (AICTE). IIT Guwahati Director has been appointed by the Ministry of Education for a period of three years.

Sitharam would be taking over the office from University Grants Commission, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, who is currently serving as the interim chairperson for AICTE, following Anil Sahasrabuddhe’s retirement As per reports, an official notice has been issued by the Ministry of Education regarding TG Sitharam’s appointment.

IIT Guwahati Placement 2023: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT G) released placement for the batch 2022 – 23, and registered a 21% increase in the pre-placement offers (PPOs) this year, the institute claims. The main reason behind this increase, experts believe, is internships. IIT G received the highest international offer of 2.4 Cr & domestic offer of 1.1 Cr.
