Amritsar, Punjab: Indian Institute Of Management–Amritsar (IIM Amritsar) transformed into a kaleidoscope colors and cultural extravaganza as it celebrated the 75th Republic Day with grand festivities on 26 Jan 2024. From the unfurling of the national flag to the gleeful performances displayed by the students of IIM Amritsar, the day was nothing short of a joy to behold.

Celebrations commenced with the entire IIM Amritsar fraternity singing the national anthem and saluting the 
national flag hoisted by IIM Amritsar’s director, Dr Nagarajan Ramamoorthy. Following the flag hoisting, Dr Ramamoorthy gave an inspiring address on our Republic’s progress, challenges, and unwavering aspirations. He also highlighted the duties of citizens and how we shouldn’t just be aware of our rights but our duties as well, since each one of us doing our part will be able to transform India into the nation our forefathers envisioned.

Following the address, the students of IIM Amritsar displayed the rich culture, heritage and traditions of India through poetry, music and dance. The celebrations were concluded with an open mic during which Mr Rajesh, a staff member of IIM Amritsar stepped up to give a rousing speech. He emphasized the importance of upholding the democratic values enshrined in the Indian Constitution and urged the young minds of IIM Amritsar to be active participants in shaping a bright future for the nation.
